Airtel ATN’s test services simulate the connection to ARINCDirect or SITA ATN/VDL networks and tests CM and CPDLC including CPDLC hand-off between ATC centres. This can be used for all retrofit aircraft that must meet the EU mandate.

The Multi Test Platform (MTP) combines a mini-VDR with a PC, power supply and control circuits to provide a fully portable testing and monitoring station enabling you to carry out the necessary Data Link tests.

The MTP is used to simulate ground ATC centre data. It monitors signal strength and tests ACARS, ATN – CPDLC and FANS aircraft.

The MTP is enclosed in a rugged carry case and has 4 to 8 hours of battery life for use in hangars. It supports the hardware functionality required by, but not limited to the VDB Generator and PVDL software applications.

Alternatively, we can send an Airtel ATN engineer to your site to undertake the tests using our portable test equipment – the MTP. This enables tests to be carried out onsite during normal aircraft downtime without the need for any specialist internal technical knowledge and in a shorter timeframe.
