Airtel Expands Dublin ATN Test Facility with ATS-B2 to Support CP1 Compliance

Airtel ATN has expanded its Dublin ATN Test Facility with ATS-B2 capability to meet the European Commission’s CP1 mandate, which requires all European Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) to implement ATS-B2 by 31 December 2027.

Located in Dún Laoghaire, the upgraded facility can now simulate ATN B2-equipped ground ATS systems remotely via the live ATN network. It supports CPDLC v4, ADS-C v3, and ATS-B2 Revision B, enabling avionics manufacturers and ANSPs across Europe to validate compliance against the latest Data Link standards.

Airtel ATN’s test facilities are widely used worldwide and are recognised for their reliability and precision. The Dublin site supports compliance and certification testing for both ATN B1 and ATS-B2, helping the aviation community prepare for regulatory approval and operational deployment in line with European requirements.

“The CP1 mandate is a key milestone for European aviation,” said Santi Ibarz, CEO of Airtel ATN. “By upgrading our Dublin Test Facility with ATS-B2, we are giving our partners across the region the tools they need for compliance, while also supporting the wider transition to next-generation Data Link.”
